Welcome Philip DeNigris CSCS, LMT, PRT

September 20, 2022 by Jean Massé

We are so privileged to have Philip DeNigris join our expert staff at Advance Physical Therapy. Phil comes with a host of experiences that make him a perfect fit for our Postural Restoration Certified Clinic.

As a personal trainer at Advance Physical Therapy, Phil provides workouts that compliment Postural Restoration concepts and principles. In this way, your workouts will enhance your PRI program, as well as improve your general fitness. His unique experience and training allows him to work with a wide range of people, especially in the context of post-physical therapy continuation of care.
Phil is a PRI-credentialed Strength & Conditioning Coach and Licensed Massage Therapist with certifications in strength training, joint health, and mobility. He has extensive experience integrating rehabilitation and training to restore healthy movement and address fitness goals. Phil has worked with youth, collegiate and professional athletes, weekend warriors, as well as complicated orthopedic and neurological cases.
Phil earned a degree in Sports Medicine from Marist College in 2013 and worked for several years as a trainer at high-end Manhattan gyms. He found PRI after searching both academia and the health & fitness world for an answer to his own experience of chronic pain, multiple surgeries and movement dysfunction. PRI allowed him to regain an active lifestyle that he feared was lost. He went on to become credentialed in PRI in 2021. He is committed to helping his clients find similar success to his own in using PRI to restore an active lifestyle.
In 2022, Phil became licensed in Massage Therapy after graduating from River Valley Community College, making him the only person in North Carolina with his particular combination of certifications.  When indicated, Phil is able to use manual and non-manual PRI techniques integrated within a strength and conditioning session. He is also able to provide dedicated PRI Bodywork, Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial massage therapy.
