Paula DiBiasio is a pediatric physical therapist and associate professor with over three decades of experience specializing in the care of infants, children and their families. Her extensive career includes roles as a teacher, scholar, and mentor across academic and clinical environments advancing both practice and education in pediatric rehabilitation.
Paula earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, a Master of Human Movement Science (research) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Doctor in Physical therapy (clinical) from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and a PhD in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Paula holds advanced certifications in specialty areas of pediatric care and is a life-long learner.
Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of pediatric care, including the NICU, early intervention, inpatient, outpatient, and public-school settings. She has gained significant expertise through her work at leading healthcare institutions such as Boston Children’s Hospital, Easterseals, UNC Children’s Hospital, Lenox Baker Children’s Hospital at Duke University Medical Center, WakeMed, and Cone Health Children’s Services. In North Carolina, Paula collaborates with lactation consultants, providing specialized support to caregivers and healthcare professionals to optimize feeding outcomes for infants and families. Her career reflects a steadfast dedication to evidence-based, culturally responsive, and individualized care for infants/children and families.
