April 14, 2026 by Kyle Jackson-Langworthy

Physical Therapist & Fitness Performance Coach

Kyle M. Jackson-Langworthy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and strength and conditioning coach specializing in high-performance rehabilitation and fitness, based in Chapel Hill, NC.

Kyle works with a wide range of individuals—from those who feel stuck despite trying traditional approaches, to beginners building a foundation, to high performers refining their edge. His focus is on identifying and addressing the underlying habits and tendencies that influence how people move, helping them develop greater control, adaptability, and long-term capacity. Dr. Jackson-Langworthy bridges the gap between elite performance and clinical rehabilitation through a strong foundation in evidence-informed movement science.

Advanced Certifications & Clinical Techniques

Current and past professional qualifications include:

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS): Nationally recognized through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for designing high-level athletic programs (2015-2020).
  • NASM Certified Professional: Holds multiple personal training and specialized certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), with an emphasis on corrective exercise and performance enhancement.
  • Mobility & Training Systems Specialist: Extensive experience across a wide range of mobility systems and training methods. He is adept at coaching barbells to kettlebells and everything in-between—helping clients build strength, move better, and expand their physical capacity.
  • Clinical Interventions: Integrates advanced manual therapy techniques to reduce pain sensitivity, improve mobility, and increase movement efficiency.

Clinical Approach

His clinical approach is rooted in Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) methodologies and the United Health and Performance Continuum (UHPC). It has been further refined through direct mentorship under Bill Hartman—architect of the UHPC and one of the foremost thought leaders in modern rehabilitation and performance science.

Kyle specializes in:

  • Breathwork and Respiration Dynamics: Optimizing pressure dynamics to improve posture, movement efficiency, and overall control.
  • Neuromechanical Alignment & Coordination: Addressing underlying habits and sensorimotor integration to help clients move with greater ease, balance, and adaptability.
  • Manual Therapy: Applying targeted, hands-on techniques to reduce discomfort, improve mobility, and support more efficient movement.
  • Mobility & Performance Development: Bridging rehabilitation and performance to build strength, expand movement options, and develop lasting capacity.

Experience & Background

Kyle was a founding team member and former Fitness Manager at Mark Fisher Fitness (now Speakeasy of Strength) in Midtown Manhattan, NYC—recognized as a Men’s Health Top 20 Gym. There, he led coach development and designed high-level training systems for a diverse clientele. This included general population clients and professional performers on Broadway and in film and television. His combined experience across fitness and rehabilitation spans almost two decades.

He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Elon University as a scholarship recipient and graduated with distinction, receiving the program’s Outstanding Clinical Experience Award. He also holds a BFA with dual concentrations in Musical Theatre and Professional Acting from East Carolina University, where he also graduated with honors. This unique educational background informs his ability to connect, communicate, and coach with clarity and intention, allowing him to skillfully bridge the “art and science” of rehab and performance.

Kyle is a devoted husband, father, friend, and clinician who deeply values meaningful human connection. He brings presence, empathy, and a thoughtful, individualized approach to his work.

Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury or looking to refine your athletic edge, Kyle delivers intentional, evidence-informed care. In doing so, he helps you move more efficiently, perform at a higher level, and ultimately achieve your health and performance goals.

Kyle looks forward to working with you!
