ChiRunning Workshop

Instructor: Beth Elder

Do you want to run as you were born to run – injury-free and effortlessly? Then come to the ChiRunning workshop I am offering.

ChiRunning is the most exciting running instruction available.  Runners get injured because of being tense, running upright, and leading with their legs. ChiRunning accomplishes injury prevention and energy efficiency by teaching you how to run aligned, relax your body, use your core, and lean to allow gravity to pull you forward. This is the essence of ChiRunning – relax and let your body do what it was built to do, leave stress, strain, and injury behind.

A ChiRunning workshop participant wrote me the following:

Hey Beth – I had a great run during the Tobacco Rd half-marathon on Sunday.  I used the Chi Running techniques I learned in your classes and they were so helpful!  I am a slower paced runner, so realistically my goal was to finish in 2:20 and absolutely no later than 2:30.  I finished in 2:09:54!!  I’m thrilled with my results. And no knee and hip pain for the first time ever!! Not even after the run – shear JOY!! I had a blast.  I wanted to share with you my wonderful experience! Thank You!!  – Amy

Join me for two sessions and learn to run for the rest of your life!

Workshop Details:

In this workshop, you will learn the basic components of the ChiRunning technique. Since this workshop is a small group format, you will get lots of personal attention. The workshop will provide you with a rich learning experience packed with good information to help you run injury-free for the rest of your life.

Class Format: I will be guiding you through many exercises and drills designed to leave you with a clear sense of what the ChiRunning technique feels like in your body.  We will not be doing lots of running (contrary to what you might imagine), so no matter what condition you are in, have no fear.  We will spend time alternating between demonstrations, fun exercises and technique drills…the nature of the workshop will be relaxed and fun.

The workshop will be held outside, so check the weather forecast and dress appropriately.

Please bring snacks and water, if needed.
