If you are going to have surgery in the future, strength training
could be what you need. Here is what a client of mine, Elaine Foster,
emailed to me 3 days after her knee replacement surgery:

Elaine did 2 personal training sessions per week with me for 2 months
prior to her knee replacement surgery. The goal was for me to help
Elaine strengthen her legs so that she could have a speedy recovery
after her knee-replacement surgery. As you can see, the strength
training made a difference and so can it for you if you are about to
have surgery.
