How can ChiWalking and ChiRunning help me?

ChiWalking and ChiRunning Integrated Programs

At Advance Physical Therapy

ChiRunning and ChiWalking make a difference for people because it teaches us how to engage gravity during running and walking so that the muscles in the legs don’t have to work so hard.  These activities are initiated by letting our bodies lean and shift our center of gravity ahead of our feet as a precursor to when our feet leave the ground.  Learning to control this forward lean is a skill and must be practiced.  Once learned, moving during walking and running can feel effortless and relaxed.  Learning these skills takes practice and repetition. Our classes provide a fun and effective setting to master them in your daily life!

Here is what participants are saying about their experiences with ChiRunning and ChiWalking:

“I have been ChiRunning this week, ran my farthest and have had NO aches, pressure, or knee problems! It’s awesome. I loved taking the ChiRunning workshop. Whenever I get into a lull on my runs, I now re-evaluate my ChiRunning skills and always find something to focus on that makes my run feel better, faster, and more enjoyable.  Thanks for everything.” – Kelly W.

“I can’t believe how fast I can walk compared to my past history.  The ChiWalking technique makes sense to me and has completely changed my ability to walk aerobically in comfort.  I highly recommend this workshop to all.” – Kathy F.
