I also asked Matthew Harwood PT, DPT, OCS  here at Advance Physical Therapy to tell you more about how he can help with nagging injuries and pain experienced during running, much like the physical therapist in this article does.

Hi ChiRunner’s and ChiWalkers!

My name is Matthew Harwood, I am a physical therapist at Advance Physical Therapy. Beth Elder, our certified Chi Running and Walking Instructor, has asked me to introduce myself to you as a medical provider who can help you with any running or walking injuries you might be experiencing.

I think ChiRunning and ChiWalking are excellent programs and I promote them myself to my clients. I also have taken instruction from Beth in using ChiRunning and have experienced first hand how it lessens the impact on my body during running; this has helped me accomplish 2 marathons, most recently the Umstead Marathon on March 2, 2013.

Sometimes, additional medical care is needed when an injury or a history of injuries and problems related to running or walking exists. I would like to extend my services as a physical therapist who is an expert in walking and running biomechanics to you. I work with persons who are experiencing new issues related to running and walking or are trying to overcome older issues. Please read more about me and our postural restoration based running program, by clicking the following link:

My goal is to help you be successful with your ChiRunning and ChiWalking goals. Advance Physical Therapy is in-network with many insurance providers, so please call our office if you have specific insurance related questions. Please call me at the clinic at 9191-932-7266 to schedule an appointment or ask questions. You can also email me at matthew@advance-physicaltherapy.com.

I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Warm Regards,

Matthew Harwood, PT, DPT, OCS
