Susan Henning, PT

Susan M. Henning, PT, graduated with a BS in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1986. She worked in major medical centers in New York and California before moving to Pittsboro with her husband and young son.

She has worked with a wide variety of patients. Her early interest was in neurological rehabilitation. She began studies in orthopaedic manual physical therapy in the 1990's. 2002 was a turning point. She began integrating Postural Restoration manual and excercise techniques into her practice. The results have been remarkable.

Susan has a special interest in movement, and in sensation as a tool for awareness and health. She studied Sensory Awareness with Charlotte Selver for thirty years, and has trained in various dance forms.

Susan believes strongly in the capacity of the organism to heal and to renew. She is committed to facilitating this process in the people she works with.
